Detailed December Listicle- Recommended Books, recipes, Songs & Blog Logo

FIRSTLY, this is my 33rd Blog and I'm happy to announce that I finally came up with a logo for my blog, it's everything that  this blog embodies.

I was scrolling through Spotify and that is when It popped up "Your yearly Wrap is here". My brain cells just refuse to work for a second there, because damn, this means this year is ending and although I'd spoken about December, It didn't "hit" me.

I honestly don't know what this blog is going to be about, but certainly it's a mixture of everything, so stay tuned.

So I went grocery shopping today and got myself some strawberries, yes, 'tis the season and yes, I had them for dessert with Chocolate Syrup or Nutella and if you haven't tried this already, ARE YOU CRAZY?

Also, another reason why I love Strawberries, strawberry milkshake.

Here's how I make my Strawberry Milkshake-

Ingredients

1)8-10 Strawberries
2) A Glass of Milk
3) Vanilla Ice-Cream (optional)
4) Vanilla Essence
5) Hershey's Strawberry Syrup (Optional)

Method-

1) Start off by washing the strawberries and chopping of the leafy top and cut each strawberry into four or two pieces to ensure and easy and smooth blend
2) Add in all the cut strawberries into a blender, add in the cold milk, a vanilla ice cream scoop or two!)a small spoon of vanilla essence and BLEND
3) Pour it into a glass and add the strawberry syrup as a topping and you're good to go!

Another one of my favorite drinks to enjoy during this weather is HOT CHOCOLATE, Yes, I've been obsessed.

Here's how I make my Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

1) 1 Tea Spoon-Cocoa Powder
2) 1 small tetra Pack-Fresh Cream

5) Chocolates for added Flavor
6) Chocolate Syrup

Method-

1) Start of f by heating the milk in a pan and stir gently
2) Add in the Cocoa Powder gently, don't add it all at once, add a bit, then stir and continue the process
3) When the milk has come to a boil and is thickening, add the fresh cream (This will add the thickness and creaminess)
4) add in the chocolate and stir whilst adding in the vanilla essence
5) Boil it for another 3-4 min and let it cool
6) Pour it into a wide large cup and top off by adding the syrup

I recently completed reading a book and I really liked it. yes, BOOK RECOMMENDATION

"Beautiful world, where are you" By Sally Rooney

I hadn't purchased a physical book in over six months and was reading e books for over six months and finally I got myself two books, one of which was this.

The story revolves around two best friends, Alice and Eileen and their love interests Felix and Simon and how they navigate their relationships, friendships and everything  in between. It was a good read, different from everything in terms of genre and story line from what I've been reading this year.

Rooney has a way of writing that makes you just picture everything that is being described, so intricate detailed and poetic . I love the book for the way it was written and the complexity of the characters, they're real, raw and vulnerable.

One of the main characters speaks of having a "Life Book" in her 20s where she wrote one good thing about everyday and when she flipped over it years later, she could feel the moment described on any given day, it's is beautiful to just relive that day. It's something I think I want to start doing.

I haven't been listening to many new songs this year but, a few songs have been on my mind definitely. I've segregated them in my head this way, so here goes

  • when you're awake at 3AM looking for songs to comfortingly lull you to sleep- Love me like you used to by Lord Huron
  • When you feel lost & empty- In and out of love by Oh Wonder
  • When you're in the mood for retro rock- Don't go breaking my heart by Elton John
  • When you feel Badass, Confident- Rude boy by Rihanna
  • When you just don't know what you feel- Kabira from Yeh jawaani hai Dewaani, Iktara from Wake up Sid
Listen now: https://open.spotify.com(kabira)
Listen now: https://open.spotify. (Iktara)

  • When you dream of dancing on Bhansali's sets like a Gorgeous, Fierce Goddess- Taal se Taal from Taal, Dola re Dola from Devdas.
Listen now: https://open.spotify.com (Taal se Taal)
Listen now: https://open.spotify.com/ (Dola re Dola)

Incase, you want a mix of it all, here's a mini version of my all mixed playlist

Lately, with last semester of college, everything is starting to feel a bit much, and I've been feeling overwhelmed, so, here are some things, that just helped me put somethings into perspective.

Also, I've recently been into the idea of creating "everything me" board which basically sums up my life in pictures and honestly, just pictures by me, so I've been posting on VSCO. I earlier had a VSCO account but was inactive, But  lately, I've been using that. Here's a glimpse-

Y'all can follow me there, if you'd like - http://vsco.co/teaxvsco

Other than that I've been trying to find events, or just stuff I'd really be into and just been actively looking out of such stuff to just experience it because honestly, a vacation is a far fetched dream right now because of the way things are currently, academically and other aspects, so I might as well enjoy mini breaks. I'm going to a Live Jazz Concert tomorrow, so I'm pretty pumped about that.
