Why Meghalaya should be on your travel bucket list

This trip was a result of our angst,of not being able to travel anywhere for almost a year and a half and we chose a place we knew would blow all our angst, worries, monotony away for good.  We landed in Meghalaya on 10th May, 2022 unknown that we would come back with a bag filled with memories, adventure, unprecedented rains leaving us drenched from tip to toe but nevertheless happy and above all, content. Shillong is quaint hillstation located in Meghalaya, located in the north eastern part of India and it took us no time to fall in love with the place. Carrying an umbrella, a backpack we left each morning, in the hopes that it wouldn't rain and hinder our plans. We found ourselves munching on local berries(called sophphie), which we devoured to the last packet we stored for several days after. PoV: you fall in love.

Before we get into the post: Yes, I've been MIA for two months on this blog, but the past two months, right before my graduation were excruciating to say the least, overlapped events, assignments, dissertation, exams, farewell - everything seemed to be happing in a blur, like life was just happening to you. I didn't want to write when I was not feeling myself. So I took an unannounced two month break and here I am. Fast forward to now, I am now done with my finals and I'm just relaxed, doing things at my own time, reading, getting back to things I left half way, watching shows, exercising basically everything that I didn't do in the past two months that made me feel human. I'm slowly falling back into pattern of slow living, which feels relieving to be honest.   "Why do you write?" " I write because I feel things." I n one of the letters to Theo, Van Gogh wrote "I also have nature, art and poetry and if that isn't enough, what is?" ...
