With New Year’s coming up, almost everyone has a journal in the to-buy list. But let’s face it, The constant instagram ADs about pretty journals is very tempting but given a second thought, they are impractical. The daily tracking of water intake, mood tracker is very difficult to keep up ( Trust me, I’ve tried) and don’t lie, you have too.  So I put together my own version of 2021 Journal and here’s how you can too. Be Realistic - So sort out what you would actually be able to keep up with and make a basic outline of how you want your journal to look.  So here’s what I decided my journal would have- Monthly Calendar Monthly Picks- books, shows, movies, songs Monthly Goals- personal, academic, work-wise Achievements of the Month Make it Pretty and Efficient - Choosing a theme monthly can actually help you look forward for the month and plan.  Something to even try is to add a theme which also helps you learn about something For Example- the different types of art,...

Why it’s okay to not have it all figured out

Humans innately have this incessant need to have everything under control, maybe that is how we are wired, maybe that is why uncertainty bothers us. It feeds on us and eats a little bit if us, everyday.  As much as we hate to accept it, we cannot have everything in control, maybe it is meant to be that way, maybe it should be. Maybe we are "that" person for ourselves . Maybe the point is to become our own person and the "place" we call home is our heart.

AN OPEN LETTER TO LIFE

AN OPEN LETTER TO LIFE The other day, I found myself recalling one of the things my friend said. It goes something like “ Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans ” . I’ve often found myself planning things meticulously to appoint where I made lists for things I need to make a list of. This got me thinking that most of the times that I’d planned something, I have always received something better from the universe, at the right time, exactly when I was ready to receive it. That is when I had an epiphany, that the amount of time I spent planning and contemplating everything, I missed out on Life. I could have spent that time reading, writing poetry, dancing So here goes, Life thank you for surprising me, exciting me and above all, to give me exactly what I need(ed) at the right time. One of my favorite movies, called “Me Before You” is an everyday reminder, to live each day, fully and unapologetically. The quote from the movie  " You only get one life....
