10 Facts About Me

  • Okay, let’s start with a basic one. A ton of people would disagree with me, but I like sunsets more than sunrises. Hear me out okay, hues of pink, orange and blue, just feels so beautiful. One of the most beautiful sunsets I had witnessed was when I travelled to Mumbai. The colors of the sky were just mesmerizing. 

So yeah, Sunsets > Sunrises. 




  • I’m a talker- Most people who personally know me would know this. Although I love listening to other people, There’s always something going on in my head that I NEED to express.so yeah, big talker.


  • I have a waiting list for Songs- Whenever I hear a song and I like it, I don’t immediately add it to my playlists. I just ‘Like it’ on Spotify. I wait for a couple of days, just to see if I like the song as much after a few days and then add it. I currently have 63 songs on the ‘liked songs’ list. I don’t know, I'm very picky when it comes to adding the songs on my playlist.


  • I can’t start my day without coffee- This one I think holds true for many of them, but I genuinely don’t have the energy to start my day without coffee. I have it twice a day but I have been trying to cut it down to one. 




  • I’m a year younger than all my peers- This one’s actually a mystery to me as well, because I’m 19 and I’m supposed to be 20 because academically, I’m a year ahead according to my age. I don’t know, it's just weird. Basically all my peers are 20 and I’m 19.


  • I LOVE TOMATOES- Ever since I was little, I’d pick tomatoes in supermarkets and eat them right away. I love eating raw tomatoes, cooked in a few dishes but overall, when there’s no dessert at home, I pick a tomato from the fridge and eat it!


  • I have a tattoo- This Birthday, I got a tattoo on my right collarbone. It’s of three birds flying. Even though it’s cliché I got it because it means something to me and I’m happy about it! 

  • I have glow in the Dark Stickers in my room- This is recent development. I love staring at the night sky and thought why not have something of that sort in my room and let me tell you, it is weirdly comforting. I had it when me and my brother were little but after repainting the house, it sort of faded away, so I guess it is a bit of nostalgia too.


  • I have an Instagram page dedicated to all things I love- So I started this page as a means to sort of express and it’s literally all things I love whether it’s art, quotes, music . It’s all there. It’s Called “Unbasic Tea”



  •  I failed my License Test- I failed my driver’s license test. It was my first attempt and in my defense, I had almost forgotten about my appointment and was rather underprepared. Disclaimer: I don’t do well on tests without good prep.

For a while now, I've been trying to look for comfort in words. When I experienced loss, the kind of loss that shook my body away (literally) mentally and physically, I took my time to heal and more usually than not, I gravitated towards reading. Reading about someone facing familiar emotions and feelings kept me sane. I hope that this post helps you find comfort if you've ever experienced loss or are still trying to mend your heart.   There's a scar on my left leg and it has been that way for a while, something which I had developed recently due to let's say, carelessness. A little bit of today |A little bit of tomorrow Epiphanies and Reflections I've been trying to write for a while now, but I just couldn't.  I recently read something on Tumblr that helped me kick start writing. I'll link it here- Read this here It's been one month today. One month that I've lost another significant part of my life in a span of one year. It's almost funny how time flies by. The other day, I told my mum "The best and worst thing about life is that, it moves on."  It feels like life is on autopilot, whether we choose it or not.   Do we really move on or do we distract ourselves to maintain our sanity?   One thing I absolutely love and spend most of my free time doing is finding new things- Art, Books, Music, Shows, Movies, Poems and I can go on and on and on. Most things I find are usually through Pinterest, YouTube Comments, Following a few YouTube Channels, Reading an Author’s Favorite or about his inspiration (Always a great way to find great art) . Here are a few things I’ve discovered this month so far- Music: Let’s start with something easy. I don’t really have a specific genre of music that I like but I think it could be broadly classified as Retro Chill or Vintage Vibe.
