Does Slow and Steady Win Today's Race?

If you’ve ever felt like this, then we’re alike. I came across the concept of slow living from a YT video and It was mind opening. I’ve never perceived my life like that, since then I’ve been researching about this concept and documenting my understanding of it

What is Slow Living?

I won’t bore you with the traditional definition but let me try explaining it as a feeling

The Japanese have a word which comes closest to describing slow living -  'ukino' means  'to live in the moment and be far from common life matters'.

Can Anybody Practice Slow living?

Yes, To start practicing it you needn't move away to an isolated town and farm for a living. Infact, you start it right now, by changing a few things in your regular routine like

  1. Leave your phone at home while going for a walk ( You’ll actually pay attention to the details like the shape of the leaves on trees, the fallen dried twigs on the ground, *ah, nothing like it*

  2. BE FULLY PRESENT WHEN HAVING A CONVERSATION. Don’t check your phone for notifications to give the person(s) your undivided attention. Lean and observe what it feels like to truly ‘Listen’.

  3. Eat one meal with your family on TV, Phone just conversation, like humans have.

What Change Will I observe?

In simple terms, You’ll feel alive, human and not a robot working on an autopilot mode ( Check my blog breaking the Autopilot mode)

Will It be Hard?

Will it be Rewarding?

It will change the way you live and think.
