Healthy habits + recipes revealed!

Image
I'm writing this munching on an apple. So yes, I think I'm on the right path to writing a blog on healthy habits. But jokes aside, I'm no expert and don't claim to know like one. These are just a few habits I've been following and making conscious choices when it comes to food intake Habits 1) A fruit a day So I started this habit in 2020 where I would at least try to consume one fruit a day and munch on seasonal fruits in different forms. So now essentially, it has become a habit. Now by evening if I don't a mental alarm going off in my head and I have a fruit 2) Add dry fruits to your diet I've been the laziest when it comes to having dry fruits because they're all assorted and it just makes me not to want to take the effort. So my mom found a solution to this (check recipes) and since then, I've been adding this to eating a fruit a day. 3) substituting whole wheat Rotis for Jowar ki Roti (Sorghum Bread) I know hot chapatis with vegetables is...

20 things I've learnt before turning 20

20? It's a start I know. I was pensive about the title at first but then, I guess I plunged into this whole "adulting" thing pretty soon, and it has taught me a few things, over time.  But one thing I've realized is that you don't necessarily feel "19" or "20" you're just one day older than your last mistake and one day younger than your next. So I've just become immune to this whole stress of my teen years ending and me entering the "real" world. There's this Chinese concept- Wu-Wei; I came across this when I was reading an article and it essentially is about embracing the flow or process of life rather than just forcing a desirable result, and I thought it might be something that I can practice my mind into believing, it's way harder than it seems but, we're trying one day at a time in 2022. So I'm wu-wei (ing) my way into 2022 Alright, now onto my list 1) An year can change a lot - I think this was one of ...

Summing up 2021: Good, Bad & The Ugly + Surprises

Image
2021 was difficult. Well, I guess it was difficult for most people in different aspects. Mine was a roller coaster ride if anything. In the animated movie, Inside Out, there's different aspects of Riley's life shown in the form of cartoonist play areas- like Family, Career, Friends and Fun. well. If I were to consider this model of theory to measure this year's success, it would be  a solid 8/10. But it doesn't feel like it, because the whole family aspect kind of fell apart, when I lost my loved one this year. I plunged into "moving on" and getting on with life and did pretty well at it, might I add, it's just feels like something is amiss, something tangible I can't point my finger to, and that's loss, and I have now realized that it's inevitable, inescapable and above all, a part of life.  Personal Note aside, Let's start with the year end review, I looked up some prompts, and I will dive into each one of them, let's go:   What is ...

Detailed December Listicle- Recommended Books, recipes, Songs & Blog Logo

Image
FIRSTLY, this is my 33rd Blog and I'm happy to announce that I finally came up with a logo for my blog, it's everything that  this blog embodies. I was scrolling through Spotify and that is when It popped up "Your yearly Wrap is here". My brain cells just refuse to work for a second there, because damn, this means this year is ending and although I'd spoken about December, It didn't "hit" me.  I honestly don't know what this blog is going to be about, but certainly it's a mixture of everything, so stay tuned. So I went grocery shopping today and got myself some strawberries, yes, 'tis the season and yes, I had them for dessert with Chocolate Syrup or Nutella and if you haven't tried this already, ARE YOU CRAZY? Also, another reason why I love Strawberries, strawberry milkshake. Here's how I make my Strawberry Milkshake- Ingredients 1)8-10 Strawberries 2) A Glass of Milk 3) Vanilla Ice-Cream (optional) 4) Vanilla Essence 5) Hershey...
