wrapping up 2022 + prepping for 2023

It's officially been three years (almost) since I've started this blog page. WHAAT.

I started writing as a way of documenting my life, experiences,my feelings and I'm grateful that on the way I was able to garner a small audience's attention. So thank you and I wish you all a happy, wealthy (rich in experiences), and thrilling New Year!

I'm going to keep this blog short and simple and leave you to introspect and chew on your blessings, learnings and experiences.

2022 was a rollercoaster emotionally, but I'm grateful for being able to do what I want, to travel and to make timely decisions.

This year I enjoyed :

  • Taking trips and exploring places by foot or using local transportation and above all, meeting new people
  • Found my new love for trekking, I hope I can trek more in 2023

  • Documenting little snippets of moments I'll cherish for years to come

  • Creating mood boards and vision boards

  • Running

I've decided to count my blessings, and if you've made it so far, you should too.

2022 was a year blessed with cherishing memories, gut wrenching heartbreaks but above all, had the most eventful happenings of one's life like graduating, getting a full-time job, then quitting it, and learning to take it slow.

As for 2023, I can't wait for all the experiences, work towards what I want to have an appetite for life.

 Here's a mini-starter pack for 2023:

  • Vision Boards:
The idea of vision boards is simple, to remember, continually what you wish for and manifest it. I make my vision boards by picking out images that represent my goals for the year, quotes that align with that. Although, I print them and put it together in a scrap book, one can just save it as a wallpaper, or somewhere where you glance at least twice a day.

On the days you feel low, you'll remember what you're working for, towards and will help you keep going.

  • Calendars:
One thing I've started doing from 2020 is to create my own calendars, it's a fun way to get excited about the new year plus helps my pea-sized memory keep track of the things I'm supposed to remember.

You can access the calendar I've made for 2023 here( I've used the pictures I've clicked as the background) : 2023 Calendars
  • A new notebook:
Although this may seem arbitrary, new notebooks indicate new beginnings, so go on, scribble your plans, to-do's.

Writing makes you believe it's real.

I'm leaving you with a few things to start the new years by-

Lena Dunham's writing is linguistically poetic and encapsulates relatable feelings and weaves them into words.
